Bee's Wedding!

Oh.My.Goodness. My best friend Brittany is MARRIED! She was the most beautiful bride ever. She looked stunning even when she was soaking wet with rain. I love it. The day started out with the temple sealing. It was so neat to see them there and the feelings there were so strong. You could truly see that they are just so meant for each other. Both of them were glowing when they walked in. I just couldn't stop smiling and crying. I am just so happy for her.

Later that night Brit and Kade had a ring ceremony. They asked me to say a short something right before in front of everyone! I was so nervous but I made it through and I feel like I really spoke from my heart how I feel about Brit and how wonderful I really think she is. She is such an amazing person and she truly does deserve the best of everything and I feel like she found a great match in Kade. He is awesome too. They exchanged rings and we watched their really cute wedding video.

The reception was a blast. We had been battling with the weather all day long so we really weren't sure how it was going to turn out and it poured pretty much the whole time. They had an outside reception in Kade's family's backyard and a lot of people came and supported them in the rain. It just shows how much people love and care for them.

When Brit and me were in high school we would listen to the song Unwritten a lot. We were a bit obsessed with it. There is a part on it that says "feel the rain on your skin, no one else can feel it for you, only you can let it in" and one day she looked at me and a said "wow Mar that is so true no one else can feel the rain on your skin" haha. It was so funny since we had been listening to that song pretty much everyday for a few months and she hadn't even realized what she was singing along to. Last night at her wedding reception close to the end she was in her beautiful wedding gown and while all of the guests were running inside to get out of the storm, Brit was outside in the middle of the rain spinning around in circles with her arms stretched out. All I could think about was "feel the rain on your skin, no one else can feel it for you" She just had the absolute most positive attitude about the whole day and that is really why her wedding day was perfect. I was so honored to be a bridesmaid at her wedding. I am so glad she is my best friend. Now they are off the Europe for 4 months and then Philadelphia for 2 years...I hope it goes by fast because I am going to miss her like crazy. Congrats Brit and Kade love you guys so much!!

Happy Anniversary!

I have now spent 2 amazing years being married to Rich. It seriously feels like yesterday that we were walking out of the temple. These past two years have honestly been the best of my life. I love being with Rich and spending time with him. He makes me laugh all the time and he treats me so well. I am also really thankful that we were able to get married in the temple. I have seen so many wonderful examples of what a blessing temple marriage is and experienced it first hand. It truly is such a blessing. I am so glad I have him forever. I am so excited to see what life holds for Rich and me. He is an amazing guy. I love Love LOVE him. Happy anniversary to us!

You Stay Classy San Diego

San Diego was AWESOME! So remember how I thought it was going to be cold there? It wasn't at all. It was perfect like 78 during the day with a breeze. We laid by the pool everyday that we were there. We stayed at the Marriott right on the bay it was so beautiful. The night before we left, I had to work late and then when I got home we were up pretty late packing. We had to be up at 6 am to make it to the airport, so by 8:00 pm we were SO ready for bed. We were both in bed by 9. Around 10 I woke up to this crazy popping sound. I was so tired that everything seemed pretty foreign. I told Rich to look out the window to see if he could figure it out. Turns out there were some way awesome fireworks shooting up right out our window over the bay. It was so awesome! It was like our own private firework show. On our last day we did a few different things. We started our day out with the best breakfast I have ever had. I sometimes am dramatic and I over exaggerate things. This I am not over exaggerating. It was amazing! We waited in line at 9 am for almost an hour and it was totally worth the wait. It's called Richard Walkers Pancake House. If you are ever in San Diego, you MUST go here for breakfast. US waiting for breakfast.
Later that day we went to an outlet mall, literally right next to the border. This is us...right next to the border. You can see the Mexican flag in the background.

I don't think I have ever seen a sign like this before...

We also went to the San Diego Temple. It is under construction right now but still so beautiful.

But most importantly we were able to spend some time with my wonderful parents. We are so thankful for all that they do for us. They are so great! Love them:)

Lately...

My youngest brothers Sam and Jake are in EFY in Europe (so jealous) I wish I would have done something that cool when I was their age. They are so lucky:) But since they are away for a while my parents wanted to go to San Diego and they invited Rich and me. We are both so excited to go and so thankful that they invited us. It will be fun just to get away for the weekend and hopefully get out of this heat! We looked at the weather and it said that the high there was 65, that might be a little cold for us but it will be nice to not have to be in 100 degree Utah weather.

On another note I got the sweetest letter from my little brother Caleb. It is so comforting to hear from him and how well he is doing. He is so awesome. He is serving and LDS mission in the Macon, Georgia area. Right now he is in a city called Douglas and he just seems to love it. We are so happy and proud of him and we can't wait for his next letter. Oh and don't go to google images to find a picture of Douglas Georgia, all you will find is pictures of red necks.

On another little rant my husband is amazing. Sometimes I wonder why he settled for me. He is the nicest guy ever and always finds the best in people. He is so patient and I love that he loves me. I'm one lucky girl. I can't believe we have been married almost two years! When we got married everyone told us that time will just fly. It is so true. I am 100x more crazy about him now than I was when we got married. I can't wait for our anniversary!
